Gas Safety Week is a national campaign to raise awareness of gas safety amongst the UK’s 23 million gas consumers. Its aim is to educate people on how to stay safe at home and protect themselves from the risks of unsafe gas appliances, such as carbon monoxide poisoning, gas leaks, fires and explosions. By law, only Gas Safe registered engineers can work on gas. So far over 1,400 organisations have pledged their support for the week to raise awareness of gas safety. They’re helping to remind the public to always check their engineer is registered and qualified for the work they need doing by checking their Gas Safe ID card. Have you pledged your support too?
